Since the age of 15 I have gained experience in managing activities involving children. My experience has varied from helping to organise school sports days to assisting and running swimming lessons for children (including those with disabilities). I have successfully motivated children and young people with a wide range of abilities whilst also ensuring that all those involved are provided with a caring, safe and enjoyable environment in which to participate.
I am an enthusiastic, hardworking and dedicated young man. I am a good team player who is always happy and willing to learn new skills. I constantly strive to perform to the best of my ability in all areas of my life as shown by my exam results and sporting acheivements.
I have competed for the last eight years at the British National Championships and also at the BUCS Swimming Championships for the last two. Over the years my background in sport has allowed me to develop excellent organisational skills and other transferrable skills, particularly acting as a mentor within the Swimming Club and leading younger swimmers. This gives me a solid base from which to transfer my experience into other similar environments. I take an interest in all sports and have good basic knowledge of most which I could apply to teaching/coaching others. |
